I’ve always loved a good game night–with family, the hubby, or with friends. About a year ago, I found myself surrounded by friends playing cards. We mostly played bridge. One of my friends plays poker tournaments so I’m always trying to glean as much knowledge from them as possible. All of my friends play, study, and compete in bridge which I note only admire but love being a part of.
It was as if I had stepped into another world. One where bridge was always in the foreground. I played bridge in high school, but it never became a lifestyle like it did for the others at the table. Their discipline and dedication is wildly admirable. If there’s one thing I love about bridge it’s that you play with a partner as opposed to solitaire. The social element to any game is always welcome.
